EDA THESS Announcement: Storm “Daniel”

EDA THESS hereby reports that the extreme weather event called Storm "Daniel" that hit the License Area of Thessaly has affected parts of the distribution network mainly in the Prefecture of Magnesia, the area of Volos, the area of Nea Anchialos and some neighboring areas.

The Company announces the following:

From the outbreak of the phenomena and throughout their duration, the Company's Emergency Intervention Structure has been fully prepared to deal with any incident.

• The Technical staff, under the coordination of the Crisis Management team, continuously monitors the situation and carries out preventive isolation and decompression of pipeline sections and installations of the distribution network, where deemed necessary. The interventions of the technical staff temporarily interrupt the supply to a limited number of end consumers.
• The condition of the network is controlled and monitored through the SCADA remote control system and where feasible, on-site checks are carried out on critical network infrastructures.
• The company provides regular updates to the authorities on the evolution of the incidents.

EDA THESS takes all necessary actions to ensure the safety of the network and installations, public safety, and the smooth operation of the distribution network, restoring any malfunction that arises and observing strict security measures.

It is stressed that the Company's response mechanism has been activated for the entire Organizational Structure to deal with any incident.
